The Unworn Ledger is an independent English-language magazine about the pre-owned and unworn Swiss watch market. It covers four sections. Market and buying explains what the condition words on a listing really mean, how unworn stock leaves the authorised-dealer channel and reaches the trade, and how a buyer checks a reference, a movement and a service record before money moves across a border. Reference guides collect the details that decide a price on a single reference: case numbers, dial variants, movement calibres, bracelet codes and the service history that follows them. Brand families describe how the major Swiss houses structure their ranges and their after-sales rules, so a buyer can tell a family line from a limited run. Ownership and care deals with wearing, storing, insuring and servicing a watch over years, including what a workshop will and will not touch.

Every article is written in the third person. No dealer, brand or workshop is addressed as a partner, and the publication sells nothing and never speaks as a trader. Each text is drawn from public sources, and those sources are named in the article itself. Where a fact cannot be confirmed from a public source, the article says so rather than filling the gap. Where a market practice varies between countries, the article states which countries it observed. Nothing on the site is a valuation, a grading or an offer to buy or sell.

The magazine is written for collectors and first-time buyers of pre-owned and unworn Swiss watches, in Europe and internationally, who read English and often buy across a border. It assumes no prior knowledge of the trade, but it does not simplify a reference number, a calibre number or a condition term.
